These bathrooms were complete guts as part of a duplex rental conversion.
In the ensuite, we eliminated the bidet and expanded the small corner shower to become a spacious, 5′ wide shower complete with built-in shower niche. We flattened the ceilings, added potlights, a new bathfan, and a new custom vanity and countertop. Notice how the shower valve is on the opposite side of the shower from the shower head, allowing you to turn the water on and wait for it to come to temperature without having to reach all the way into the shower and getting wet in the process!
In the basement, we kept the same footprint but updated the flooring, shower, and vanity, adding a new bath fan in the process.
